My mom is awesome (see Disneyland picture to the right). But awesomeness just isn’t correlated with knowledge of RSS, and my feed hasn’t seen hide nor hair of mom since day 1.
So how does my mom read The Growing Life and other productivity blogs? Not via email, because she never checks it. She checks my feed with Alltop (hopefully before rushing over to Zenhabits :-), which is an interesting project started by Guy Kawasaki. (If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Guy wrote the book on business evangelism and was one of the original Apple employees responsible for marketing the Macintosh; he’s also a well-respected blogger).
Mom’s only recently been able to pick me on Alltop, after Guy graciously added me to the lifehacks section. Here’s a little more information . . .
About Alltop
Alltop “likes to shake things up and urge people out of their comfort zones.” As someone trying very hard to shake things up, I’m tremendously grateful that Alltop’s stuck their proverbial neck out for this C-list blogger.
So What is Alltop?
Alltop helps you explore your passions by collecting stories from “all the top” sites on the web. They’ve grouped these collections — “aggregations” — into individual Alltop sites based on topics such as environment, photography, science, celebrity gossip, fashion, gaming, sports, politics, automobiles, and Macintosh. At each Alltop site, they display the latest five stories from thirty or more sites on a single page — they call this “single-page aggregation.”
Anyway, Alltop says they enjoy helping out “underdogs and undiscovered gems,” and I’m really grateful that they’ve given me a chance. If you have a moment, check them out. Their site is updated every 10 minutes with links from top blogs in about 100 different categories. It’s a good way to stay on top of the latest without subscribing to 100+ blogs.
Good luck, Guy and Neenz!

The Marketing Program is a step-by-step, walk-you-by-
the-hand bootcamp.
Each month, we give you ONE (and no more than one) "marketing project" to complete in your business.
You do that one project each month . . . and we guarantee that if you do the stuff, you'll double your online income during the next 12 months, or we'll double your money back.
Anyway, each monthly marketing project is a plain -as-day, from A-Z, step-by-step, no B.S. blueprint (that has been tested and proven to work over and over again) for getting multiple on-demand cash infusions into your business.
