The Beer and Money Show with Clay Collins and Dave Navarro

Do you like this story?

The other day my friend “Dangerous Dave” Navarro (no, not the guitarist from Jane’s Addiction or The Red Hot Chili Peppers) were screwing around and recorded an internet marketing talk show.

Anyway, when a television network is considering creating a new series, they run a “pilot” to test the waters and see what people think. If the ratings are good, then they run the show. If the ratings stink, then they don’t invest in it.

So Dave and I created a pilot edition of “The Beer and Money Show” and we need your input. So if you have a second, listen to the show, and leave us a comment if you think we should make more of these

We’d LOVE your input.

P.S. I need another web project like I need a hole in the head. So no hard feelings if you think our “network” should kill this show :-)

Enjoy! We sure did. And don’t forget to visit Dave Navarro’s blog to get to know more about him. He’s teaching me much good stuff.

The Marketing Program is a step-by-step, walk-you-by-
the-hand bootcamp.

Each month, we give you ONE (and no more than one) "marketing project" to complete in your business.

You do that one project each month . . . and we guarantee that if you do the stuff, you'll double your online income during the next 12 months, or we'll double your money back.

Anyway, each monthly marketing project is a plain -as-day, from A-Z, step-by-step, no B.S. blueprint (that has been tested and proven to work over and over again) for getting multiple on-demand cash infusions into your business.

Okay, so I commented before I got to the end. Love what was said about getting specific about what/how much you need into the universe – not I just wanna make money, but I need $3k.

I enjoyed the Beer and Money show, it was a blast to listen to and great info! Keep it going!

  • Brian

Liked it a lot. Don’t make it any longer than this – or at least not often. I am more likely to check in regularly on episodes if they are short and sweet.

  • Chris

This was totally worth it. So good I think I will do something similar. Keep it up, I really did enjoy it!

  • Tom G.

Do it! We want to see another one.

I think it's great but it would be better if it was actually video of you guys diggnation style.

“proudly not sponsoring us” – awesome! Hey guys seriously I thought my new show was cool until I heard this – I've got work to do… Seriously hope you guys decide to go ahead and do this – will help a lot of people.

The content for the show was great. I would prefer the audio file instead of a video since there wasn't anything to watch.

  • jlhenn

yeah, that was a good listen. 15 minutes is about perfect for most attention spans. i vote keep it. i also vote you talk about other drinks…maybe hard ciders, then move onto to tequila. or rum. you know, whatever.

Read the name of the show and “SOLD” !
    Beer and Money !
you boys just knocked it outta the park.
personally I felt it was to short if anything, but I'm just being greedy.
    Bring on the next episode.

nicely done. and i agree that 15 minutes is a good amount of time. would love to hear more about how dave's search for an assistant goes in future episodes. thanks!

I listened all the way through, so that means something, no? I thought the program eased into the good stuff a little slowly, but that's easy to work on. Part of the reason—no, the whole reason I took time to listen is I follow Dave and have read Clay's stuff some, so I don't know how strangers would like it.

Everybody likes to talk about and hear about money mattes, for sure. I prefer wine to beer, but I'm thinking you won't plan to talk a lot about either. The title is smashingly great, however, so I guess you'll have to mention beer at least. Keep going with it if it's something you really want to do would be my advice. Good luck.

PS. Forgot to say I also like the audio only format. For people who have fancy fones, they can listen while driving or walking and not be tied to a computer. Think you should keep it audio only.

This has come at the right time for me, Thumbs up.

I started sceptical and ended interested and inspired (drinking strong black tea with milk :-))

It makes no sense to me to call it a video when it’s a podcast…

Doods, keep it going! Clay, loved your advice at the end. I've started to make a shift to that way of thinking and it has me be so creative. I'm making money where I didn't think I could make money…tha' shit's dope, yo!

    KEEP GOING BOYS!!!

  • Neil

lol, your such audi whores…only for my love of Audi as a means of transportation that would be a judgement! :)

Hole in the head or no Clay, I look forward to future installments.

I love the idea behind this show. Beer and money go great together and might as well enjoy both :-)

And if you ever need a guest on the show that is still early in the stages of internet marketing as well as learning to be a public speaker, I'd love to drink with you guys.

Just let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Clay and Dave: Great info. Like that it is around 15 min. Kevin Rose goes too long on the Random show. Keep it up. Love that the video isn't flash so I can view it on my iPad!

  • Decipher

interesting concept, and nice start. I think this can grow into something great if you make it an objective to tackle IM issues, especially with the beginner market.

Good stuff Clay! Definitely some great ideas discussed. I know I have definitely drank my share of box wine from mason jars :P The informal style works well for me, and allows some insight into the thinking behind your recommendations. I hope that you do decide to do some more episodes. Video might be fun too, especially after 3 or 4 glasses of box wine.

As for VA resources, you might want to check out http://www.virtualstafffinder.com. I've been getting to know Chris as I prepare for my upcoming move to the Philippines. He definitely knows outsourcing and has a great business going there. By the way that's not an affiliate link, but I probably should ask him about that :)

Hi Dave & Clay: I like the concept and the insights you give in your experiences, mind shifts and desires (driving along the Californian coast…). Looking forward to the next episode.

People have been saying, “Meet me at the pub” and mixing beer and business forever. Doing it online is clever. Seems like finding a beer sponsor would be a natural.

Also seems like this is a community and networking opportunity if you’re serious about finding a sponsor. The virtual twitter and facebook social media campaign is new age. Bet Hubspot or Marketing Profs would make this into an interesting research project.

How about making a call-out to anyone who works for Audi or a beer company. Or even has an indirect connection–they have a family member with a connection, they own stock, they love a particular brand….

You can do this. In fact, I think you guys can do about anything.
